moreEngineered Management Systems Inc. was founded in 1996 in response to an ever increasing need for municipalities to more effectively manage their bridge and culvert inventories. Reactive policies and chronic under funding had put many jurisdictions in jeopardy as a seemingly insurmountable backlog of rehabilitative work accumulated. What was needed was a long term, pro-active approach that would standardize the inspection, data handling and decision making that culminates in a well founded and efficiently prioritized renewal program.
That is what our firm set out to deliver in 1996 and this is what we have successfully deployed for municipalities across Ontario ever since. Looking beyond simply providing the bridge inspection and evaluation services our clients require, we also developed and built an innovative set of tools that embody a highly effective approach to bridge management. In the past 15 years our systems have effectively managed the needs of more than 3000 structures with an aggregate value of more than 2.5 billion dollars and we continue to grow.
Developing the methodologies and data architecture that could handle this monumental task was only the beginning. To be of any real value to our clients it had to be delivered through an interface that was both intuitive and flexible. Our bridge management system, bridgeTMS, does exactly that. We have brought together decades of experience in municipal administration, bridge evaluation and software design to provide a powerful solution that combines functionality with ease of use. Real tools that work in the real world.
